I write from the heart on this matter, I write so I can understand, I write of what I have not spoken of. I write of the time I nearly lost you. I nearly lost you, I did not realise at the time, It never crossed my mind. We nearly lost you. I cried, I prayed, I was so afraid. I can not bear to image the what if, I can not bear to think about it. All that matters is the life we have now, Every moment, every smile,  Every laugh, every talk. Like I do, I bottled it up, I told only a few. But you nearly died, I nearly lost you. And it hurts, It still hurts, To think that. I could not bear to lose any of you. I write of this now because the truth is still few know. I can not speak of this, I can only write. You never gave in. You fought until you were better. We tell ourselves that we can’t. We tell ourselves others are better, stronger, smarter. We tell ourselves we’re rubbish. Well let me tell you something, We lie. Lie to ourselves, Bully ourselves, Belittle, down tread.  Would you do that to a friend? Family?  Your partner? We tell ourselves we will fail But do we try? Keep pushing even when knocked back. The moment that you give in, The moment that you give up, The moment you let it all slip away. If you can try, If you can keep going, If you can work through the problems, It will make you stronger, It will make you wiser, It will make you who you are. If you don’t try, If you give up, If you let yourself fail, How can you live with that? There is so much in this world to live for, There is so much in this world to fight for, There is so much in world for you. The moment you don’t even try,  That moment, is the one you will regret.
