Truth Be Told
Truth be told, I do not know who I am anymore, Am I a mouse, scared and and small? Am I a lion too proud of it all? Am I myself, honest and true? Or am I a reflection of you? Truth be told I do not know. Truth by told I feel not whole. What I am, and what I was, seem far apart. What I am, and what I've lost, I feel in my heart. Is it too late to be oneself? Is it too late to stay true to myself? Truth be told, I do not know. A battle ahead, A fall so hard. Am I prepared? Truth be told...I am. To be free, Truth to be told, I need to be me. M. H.
